Phase I

I'm taking a little break from painting so I thought today between breaks I would take pictures of my progress in stages and share it with you.

This stage is my first and second stage in which I first draw the thought on the canvas and then if there is a face, I start with that. If there is not a face, I start with the main center reference point of the painting.

Some people do backgrounds first, I like to start with the focus point. In this painting, I started with the eyes, then lips then nose and then I fill in the complexion.
